About

Some Context
My freshman year of high school rounded the corner as summer came to an end. When it did, I realized the reality of my life. The seemingly endless years of school were finally nearing their end. With this, I felt as though I were staring down a tunnel with pure uncertainty waiting at the other end. So, I decided to listen to my dad as he would often tell me, "Get out of your box". I did after much stress and fear of doing so, but it led to more success and happiness than I had ever anticipated. And with the tunnel constantly in the back of my head, I began brainstorming what I wanted to do once high school ended. From the age of 14, I decided I wanted to pursue entrepreneurship. I saw, and still see it, as the only way of having true freedom (that still kept me within the bounds of society). So, for the rest of high school, I learned and pondered. I learned and studied finances, data management, computer programming, stocks, crypto, credit cards, economics, and politics. I took on roles of responsibility, leadership, and management when the opportunities presented themselves. And when my last day of senior year came, the tunnel was still just as long and just as uncertain. I had learned so much, but I had no plans or ideas on what to pursue or how to pursue them. Because action doesn't require learning, action is learning. A concept that took me far too long to realize. So, I went to college for business, learned a little bit, but was far too bored to learn anything (and I like to study boring things). As the second semester neared an end, I managed to get my hands on a 3d printer. Something I have wanted since I was 14. I borrowed one from a friend. For a couple of months, I learned how to use it, the software, and everything else. I became obsessed. So, I returned it and bought a $500 Bambu Lab A1 that day.
Now, to back the story up two years, I woke up in the middle of the night. Once again, my sheets were not spread across me, but rather bundled somewhere in the corner of my bed. It was a nightly struggle to sit up and fumble around in the darkness, trying to find my sheets while still half-asleep. Yes, I could spend five minutes in the morning tucking and making my bed, BUT I'm an entrepreneur. So, how can I use this struggle to make money? I thought, what if there was a special type of sheet featuring built-in buttons to keep everything in place? I wrote the idea down, found my sheets, and went back to sleep.
Now, in 2025, having owned my 3D printer for a few months, I decided to revisit the concept of sheet buttons. What I developed was fairly different than the original idea. A bedding accessory that can be attached anywhere on bedsheets or on pillowcases, and it fits in the palm of your hand and attaches in seconds. I named it the Snug Bug — an aesthetically pleasing yet highly functional clip or button designed for sheets and pillowcases. This simple solution was exactly what I needed to keep my sheets snug. Two weeks later, I registered Snug Bug LLC, embarking on a journey to bring a solution to a common problem for people like me. For people who don't want to make their bed but want their sheets perfect every time.
My name is Tucsen Roman, a 19-year-old entrepreneur from Minnesota, USA, where Snug Bug LLC proudly operates and manufactures. I’d love for you to try my invention. Thank you for reading.
The tunnel, by the way, is still ever longer.
